Meadows & io - Above and Below [CD]

Meadows & io - Above and Below. [CD]

Meadows & io is an innovative Norwegian art and music ensemble from Kongsberg that operates on the border between concert and installation, concept album and performance, rock
and contemporary art. Meadows & io live is a unique experience where one or more large canvases surround the stage. From the first note, the audience is sent into an otherworldly sphere where magnificent
space rock is synchronized with hyper-expressive analog film art. A niche product - an immersive experience!

With their uncompromising style and interdisciplinary approach, Meadows & io wants to build a universe that is truly worth visiting. A counterbalance to the fleeting and the superficial. Art that takes time, it is slow and intense - and aims to move people's inner emotions and create wonder.

“..just keeps on giving with those delicious keyboard leads and atmospheres...This is superb stuff that shouldn’t be overlooked by any prog and psychedelic space-prog nerd.” -The Progspace

“Icaros’ could be the soundtrack of any amount of dark, good vs. evil films and the one I couldn’t get out of my mind listening to this track is ‘Eyes wide shut’, especially that weird masquerade ball.” -Nordic Music Central

“..somewhere between epic post-rock, spherical space rock and hymnic art rock, lives from the uplifting synthesizer melodies or from powerful walls of guitar that conjure up a cinematic world in the mind's eye.”
